Wooded Trail

Lake of the Ozarks state park in Missouri offers some of the most scenic trails through the woods I have seen so far. The trails lead to magnificent vistas overlooking part of the lake unseen by most visitors.
After parking in the lot I bypassed the boats in the lagoon without a second glance and made my way up this trail on a very warm summer afternoon carrying a backpack full of camera equipment and water.
Around every turn another view awaited and I climbed until I could not go on, not making it to the top. Perhaps next time when I remember to bring a little food and more water.
