Low Tide in Alaska

When I think about Alaska I think about the glaciers and mountains that make it so special.
Yet, it is the strength of the Moon’s gravity that has the most impact daily on the environment and the people.
I was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to capture this photograph when the tide was out and the dock was useless.
In a few hours the tide came in and the water rose quickly.
Quickly being a relative term, but fast enough to make me notice.
