Horseshoe Bend

Horseshoe bend is a hot spot in the desert.
If you look closely you can see canoes, kayaks and tents on the beach a thousand feet below.
The Colorado river was flowing at a fast rate and the water continued to carve out this part of the canyon.
I could have stayed longer but I was running low on water.
The day I was there the temperature was just short of 100 degrees.
Tourist traffic was moderate and there were people crowding at the small railing that keeps people from falling over the cliff.

I printed this full size on Metal and have it hanging in the entry of my home. I love seeing it every time I come home and I think you will too.
