Heart Mountain Barracks

This place made me sad. During the second world war Japanese Americans were forced to sell their businesses and homes, leave everything behind and submit to being incarcerated without cause or trial.
They were housed in one of the few remaining barracks like this, behind barbed wire and guarded by the U.S. Army.
These places lacked insulation and were heated by wood fired cooking stoves against the extreme cold in Wyoming.
I walked away in tears at the cruelty inflicted upon these innocent Americans.
Heart Mountain is near Powell Wyoming, I encourage you to visit and learn more about the survivors of this tragedy.
