Boat House

Tucked deep in the weeds on the edge of a small lake, this boathouse sits alone against the trees. A boardwalk along the waters edge among the lily pads and cattails skirt the lake populated here and there with unpainted weathered grey benches where people can relax and watch a sedge of cranes standing in the shallow water nearby. Mallard ducks and a few geese occupied the middle of the lake and squawked to make their presence known when I intruded on the solitude.

I sat for a while and enjoyed the peace and quiet, my cell phone turned off and my camera resting on the bench before I selected the perfect location to take this shot and make it available.
